Music workshops with a difference; Making beats, ritmica, tempo, hitting, pulse, street drumming, junk percussion, found sound, timing, 3/4 or 4/4, sticking – whatever we choose to call it is at the heart of all music, of all cultures, and at anytime in history. Humans have been doing the above, whatever they called it, and with whatever they could find, from before they started making weapons. Why stop now?

‘Talking Trash’ sessions utilise and adapt everyday items and disgarded ‘rubbish’ to make powerful percussive music drawing influences from Samba, Latin, African, Hip Hop, Dance, Rock and Ambient music.

Workshops ask participants to think creatively as a team, question the concept of ‘rubbish’ and environmental impact, learn how to make instruments, how to play them, and of course have fun….. Bash the Trash!
